MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING SMA 2 WATES AND STREEPHUKET SCHOOL

MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING       FOR ACADEMIC COOPERATION & EXCHANGE between SMA 2 WATES, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, Indonesia and STREEPHUKET School, Phuket, Thailand =================================================

  

Recognizing the mutual benefits of collaborative activities in promoting international understanding,  

SMA 2 Wates, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, Jakarta, Indonesia and Streephuket School, Phuket, 

Thailand are agree to explore the feasibility of establishing partnership and cooperative activities in 

educational endeavors. Such cooperation may include but not limited to the following:

1. Exchange of scholarly ideas, information, and materials by internet (e.g. face book, email, web-side, etc.).
2. Establishment of partnership between teachers to explore mutually based activities.
3. Exchange teachers of for capacity building, and joint action research activities toward the setting up of joint school programs;
4. Exchange of students through scholarship/fellowship/assistantship plans, studying abroad programs, and internship about social and culture of both countries

The terms, expenses, and other matters arising in relation to the implementation of this formal agreement shall be discussed in detail by the parties concerned for each specific case. Any commitment of resources, financial or otherwise, for cooperative activities shall be made in a supplemental agreement for that specific purpose entered into at a subsequent date and approved by the official authority of each institution.

Each institution will nominate one of its core members as its person in charged of cooperative programs. Individual programs of work under this Memorandum of Understanding will be jointly planned and supervised by the nominees of both parties.

This Memorandum of Understanding will be effective for a period of three years from the date of signing, can be continued, and is subject to change, renewal, and termination by mutual consent. Termination may be initiated by either party, giving the other party three months notice in writing prior to the excecution. The parties further agree to consult periodically concerning the status of the above explorations and other relevant matters of mutual interests.
